The local dog park is one of the best ways to socialize your dog and have fun together! Until you run into the laundry list of issues that come with it... unsupervised dogs, agitated owners, unsanitary conditions, hot weather, you name it!
Mak Pack has gone to great lengths to keep everything you love about the dog park while offering solutions to all of the pain points. We are indoor and air conditioned for year round access! No more being pent up during AZ summers. We offer staff inside the park to help monitor behaviors to ensure all dogs are enjoying themselves and not being disruptive. Need to step out? Our attendants will watch your dog while you make a quick visit to the cafe or snack bar.
Our management team will keep track of shot records, ensure the place is safe and clean, and do everything in their power to make sure you and your dogs have the best time ever during your visit to The Park at Mak Pack!
Temperament Tested - Trainer Approved
While all breeds and sizes of dogs are welcome at The Bark, each dog must pass a behavior check before entering. The behavior check will start with staff observation as your dog greets another dog through the fence. If they do this nicely, they will be released into the play space while they are monitored for signs of fear or aggression. A staff member may ask the owner to hang out in one of the leashed areas while their dog settles in.
Play Behavior: Play among dogs in each play space must be balanced. We want all of our dogs to have fun. Our staff members will not tolerate any biting, mounting, humping, collar grabbing, or distribution of outside toys or treats. Any fighting, biting, excessive barking, or uncontrolled problem behaviors will result in being asked to head home for the day. While we understand this can be play, these types of behaviors can bring stress to the environment and cause dogs to escalate their behavior quickly.
Other Requirements
Vaccinations & More: We require all dogs to be vaccinated for rabies, Bordetella, and DHPP. We do not permit entry to dogs in heat. Proof of these items must be provided in our online system along with the behavior questionnaire before entry.
Dismissal: If your dog is showing signs of inappropriate play behavior, we ask you recall your dog away from the situation and make sure they are calm before you release them to continue playing. Repeated offenses of inappropriate behavior (mounting, humping, etc.) are grounds for dismissal for the day. If this inappropriate behavior is deemed aggressive (biting, etc.), your dog must participate in an applicable training course before being accepted for re-entry.
